120 Minutes from 2022: music videos never die

Here’s to Matt Pinfield and the amazing show that was 120 Minutes. We watched every episode, even if only we wound up liking only a handful of videos. But 120 Minutes was always entertaining, diverse, and engaging. In tribute we offer a video playlist based on our 31 Songs from 2022.

The videos aren’t one-for-one with our 31 Songs playlist. I made a point to only include official videos, either from the artist, label, or legit broadcast (like the Late Show or Jimmy Kimmel). I tried to find matches that showcased an artist’s unique appeal. Luckily I found, for most, a proper music video match to our 31 Song. For some, I chose corresponding live tracks. For a handful, I chose completely different songs as our official pick simply didn’t exist.

What I did not include were videos made by concert attendees or YouTube channels that had no official affiliation. By all means I encourage y’all to follow up on artist videos because there’s some great stuff out there (like this amazing concert video from Amyl & the Sniffers). But, Matt Pinfield didn’t show bootleg videos so, I guess, neither will we.
